Before you start

  • A Chromecast with Google TV set up with Wi-Fi
  • A Google account signed in on the device
  • Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL

Steps

  1. Open the Google Play Store

From the Google TV home screen, find and open the Play Store app.

  2. Search for a player app

Search "IPTV Smarters Pro" or "TiviMate" and select the official listing.

  3. Install the app

Select Install and wait for the download to complete.

  4. Open the app and log in

Launch the app, choose your login method, and enter your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL.

  5. Confirm channels play back

Select a channel to confirm smooth playback. Chromecast with Google TV's compact hardware handles standard and HD streams comfortably; very high-bitrate 4K streams may occasionally test its limits.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

The remote's Google TV home screen doesn't show the new app

Newly installed apps sometimes take a moment to appear in the row of apps — check the full apps list (usually via the apps icon or a long-press on the home screen) if it's not immediately visible.

Troubleshooting

Playback stutters on higher-bitrate streams

Chromecast with Google TV has less processing headroom than a Shield or Fire TV Cube — if 4K streams stutter, try a lower-bitrate stream option in the player app if your service offers one.
