Who we are and what this policy covers

RokuStream is the service and brand name operating this website. This policy covers the personal information we collect through this site, including when you browse the site, submit the contact form, or purchase a subscription plan through Checkout.

This policy does not cover third-party websites or services we link to, which have their own privacy practices — see "Third-party links" below.

Information you provide to us

We collect the personal information you choose to give us directly, through two places on this site: Checkout and the contact form.

• Checkout: your name, email address, and WhatsApp/phone number; the country package(s), plan length, and number of simultaneous connections you select; and your preferred payment method and preferred contact method (WhatsApp or email).
• Contact form: your name, email address, an optional phone number, an optional subject line, and the message you write to us.
• We never collect payment card numbers, bank account details, or other card information through this website. Selecting a payment method at Checkout records a stated preference only — see "Billing" in our Terms of Service for how payment is actually arranged.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, this site and its underlying infrastructure automatically receive some technical information whenever you visit, independent of anything you type into a form.

• Your IP address, used on a short-term, in-memory basis to apply reasonable rate limits to our order and contact forms so we can reduce abuse — this use does not create a stored record tied to your IP address.
• Standard web server and hosting-platform request logs, which typically include your browser type, device and operating system information, the page you came from, and the pages you request.
• Where you've given analytics consent (see "Cookies and analytics" below), aggregated and pseudonymous analytics identifiers and interaction data — for example, which pages you view and how you navigate the site.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses a cookie consent banner with distinct categories: necessary cookies (always on — the site can't function without them), analytics, marketing, and preferences. Non-essential cookies and scripts only load after you actively grant that specific category of consent — not before, and not by default.

When analytics consent is granted, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site usage and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with pages, so we can improve the site. The marketing and preferences categories exist in the consent banner, but no script on this site currently uses them — nothing loads under those categories today. You can change your cookie preferences at any time; withdrawing analytics consent stops GA4 and Clarity from loading on future visits.

We do not use cookies for targeted third-party advertising.

How we use your information

We use the personal information described above for the following purposes, and we don't use it for purposes beyond these:

• To provide the service you're requesting — process your order, prepare and deliver access details, and respond to support and contact requests.
• To communicate with you about your order or your message to us, including order confirmations and support replies.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues, such as rate-limiting excessive form submissions.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, where you've given analytics consent.
• To comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

Service providers

We use a small number of third-party service providers to operate this site and fulfill orders and messages. Each processes personal information on our behalf, only for the purposes described in this policy — not for their own independent marketing purposes.

• Supabase — database hosting used to securely store order and contact-request records.
• Resend — transactional email delivery, used to send order confirmations and internal notifications.
• Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity — consent-gated website analytics, described above.
• Our hosting provider, which serves this website and necessarily processes standard technical request data to do so.
• Sharing information with a service provider so it can perform one of these functions for us is different from selling personal information — see the next section.

We do not sell personal information

RokuStream does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising purposes. The service providers listed above process information only to help us operate this site and fulfill your order or request, under our direction.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to fulfill an order, respond to a request, maintain accurate business records, or meet legal, accounting, or security obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure — for example, restricting database access to authenticated, server-side systems and never exposing payment card fields or backend credentials to the browser.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised in connection with this site, please contact us.

Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights over the personal information we hold about you — for example, the right to know what information we have, to request a copy of it, to request that it be corrected, or to request that it be deleted.

You can exercise any of these rights, or ask a question about your information, by contacting us using the details in "Contact" below. We will respond consistent with applicable law and subject to reasonable identity verification and any legitimate retention requirements, such as records we need to keep for accounting purposes.

Children's privacy

This service is intended for users 18 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

International processing

Because this website is accessible internationally and some of our service providers operate infrastructure in multiple locations, personal information we or our service providers process may be handled in a country other than the one you're located in. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for this, we rely on the mechanisms our service providers make available for that purpose.

Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites or services — for example, device manufacturers or player apps referenced in our setup guides. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this policy doesn't cover them; review their own privacy policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
