This guide shows you how to install an IPTV player app on a Fire TV Cube in about 10 minutes — the process is identical to a Fire TV Stick since both run Fire OS.

Before you start
- A Fire TV Cube set up with a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection
- Your Amazon account signed in on the device
- Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL
- 5-10 minutes of uninterrupted setup time
Steps
Enable apps from unknown sources
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources." This is the same standard Fire OS setting used on every Fire TV device.
Install Downloader
Search the Amazon Appstore for "Downloader" and install it — this is how you'll sideload the player app.
Download the player app via URL
Open Downloader and enter the official download URL for IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate from the app's official website.
Install and open the app
Select Install once the download finishes, then Open, or launch it later from Your Apps & Channels.
Add your playlist or Xtream Codes login
Choose the matching login method in the app and enter your M3U playlist URL, or your Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL.
Confirm playback works
Open a channel to confirm video and audio play smoothly. The Cube's extra processing power should make channel switching and EPG scrolling noticeably snappier than on a base Fire TV Stick.
Troubleshooting
The remote's voice search doesn't help with app setup
Fire TV Cube's far-field voice control is for launching apps and content search, not for entering login credentials — you'll still need the on-screen keyboard or the Fire TV app on your phone for that part.
Channels load slowly despite the Cube's stronger hardware
If performance seems no better than a Fire TV Stick, check that you're connected to 5GHz Wi-Fi or Ethernet rather than a congested 2.4GHz network, since the bottleneck is often network speed, not device processing power.
