Before you start
- A Fire TV Stick set up with a Wi-Fi connection
- Your Amazon account signed in on the device
- Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL
- 5-10 minutes of uninterrupted setup time
Steps
Enable apps from unknown sources
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options, and turn on "Apps from Unknown Sources." This is a standard Fire OS setting, not a jailbreak — it simply allows installing apps outside the Amazon Appstore.
Install Downloader
From the Fire TV home screen, search the Amazon Appstore for "Downloader" and install it. Downloader is a free, widely used app for installing APK files by URL.
Open Downloader and enter the player app's URL
Open Downloader, and in the URL field enter the official download link for IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate (get this from the app's official website to avoid unofficial mirrors).
Install the APK
Downloader will fetch and prompt you to install the file. Select Install, wait for it to finish, then choose Open (or find the app under Your Apps & Channels on the home screen).
Enter your playlist or Xtream Codes details
Open the app and choose "Load your playlist or file" (for an M3U URL) or "Login with Xtream Codes API" (for a username/password/server URL), then enter the details you were given.
Confirm channels load
Once added, your channel list and EPG should populate within a few seconds. If it doesn't, double-check the URL or credentials for typos before troubleshooting further.
Troubleshooting
Downloader says "Forbidden" or fails to fetch the file
This usually means the download link has changed or requires HTTPS. Get the current official link directly from the player app's website rather than reusing an old saved URL.
The app installs but shows no channels
Re-check your playlist URL or Xtream Codes credentials for typos, especially trailing spaces. If the details are correct, the playlist source itself may be temporarily unavailable.
