Before you start

  • An LG smart TV running webOS, connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet
  • An LG account signed in on the TV
  • Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL

Steps

  1. Open the LG Content Store

Press the Home button and select the LG Content Store app (sometimes labeled the LG Channels/Apps store depending on webOS version).

  2. Search for a player app

Search for "GSE SMART IPTV" or "SS IPTV" and select the listing from the store.

  3. Install the app

Select Install and wait for it to finish downloading.

  4. Open the app and enter your details

Launch the app from your TV's app row and enter your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL where prompted.

  5. Confirm channels load correctly

Check that your channel list and EPG (if supported by the app) populate as expected.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

No IPTV apps appear in the Content Store

Older webOS versions have a smaller app catalog. Check Settings → General → About This TV for your webOS version; if it's several years old, connecting a Fire TV Stick or Chromecast to an HDMI port is the more reliable fallback.

Troubleshooting

Typing a long Xtream Codes URL with the remote is slow

The LG ThinQ app on your phone can act as a remote keyboard for on-screen text entry, which is much faster than clicking through an on-screen keyboard with the standard remote.
