This guide shows you how to configure IPTV on a MAG set-top box in about 10 minutes using its built-in portal settings — MAG boxes don't use an installable app the way Fire TV or Android devices do.

Before you start
- A MAG box (Infomir or compatible) connected to Ethernet or Wi-Fi
- Your MAG box's MAC address (found in system info)
- The portal URL provided for your service
Steps
Find your device's MAC address
On the MAG box, go to System Settings → System Info (or similar) to find the MAC address, which authenticates the device instead of a username/password.
Register your MAC address with your service, if required
Some services need your MAC address registered on their end before the portal will authenticate — check whether this step applies to your specific setup.
Open the portal settings menu
On the MAG box, go to Settings → System Settings → Servers (menu naming varies slightly by firmware version).
Enter the portal URL
Type in the exact portal URL you were given, matching capitalization and any trailing path exactly.
Restart the box
Restart the MAG box to apply the new portal settings and load your channel list.
Confirm the channel list appears
After restarting, your channels should load automatically without any further login step, since authentication is tied to the MAC address rather than credentials you enter each time.
Troubleshooting
The box shows "No channels" after restarting
Double-check the portal URL for typos, and confirm your MAC address has been registered on the service side if that's required for your setup — MAG authentication depends on both being correct.
The portal URL field won't accept the address as typed
Some MAG firmware versions are strict about the exact URL format (with or without a trailing slash, http vs. https). Try both variants if the exact one given doesn't work.
