Before you start
- An NVIDIA Shield set up with a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection
- A Google account signed in on the device
- Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL
Steps
Open the Google Play Store
From the Shield's home screen, open the Play Store app — Shield has full, unrestricted Play Store access unlike Fire OS devices.
Search for a player app
Search for "IPTV Smarters Pro" or "TiviMate" and select the official listing from the developer's verified page.
Install the app
Select Install and wait for it to finish downloading — no separate sideloading tool is needed on Shield.
Open the app and log in
Launch the app, choose your login method, and enter your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL.
Confirm channels and EPG load
Your channel list and program guide should populate within seconds — Shield's stronger hardware typically makes this the fastest-loading experience of any streaming box.
Troubleshooting
The app isn't in the Play Store search results
Confirm you're searching from the Shield's TV-optimized Play Store, not casting a phone's Play Store search — some listings differ by device type. Try searching the exact app name with correct spelling.
4K streams stutter despite Shield's strong hardware
Shield's processing power is rarely the bottleneck for 4K playback — check your network connection speed and whether other devices on the same network are consuming bandwidth simultaneously.
