Before you start
- An Apple TV (4th generation or newer) connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet
- An Apple ID signed in on the device
- Your playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL
Steps
Open the App Store
From the Apple TV home screen, open the App Store app.
Search for a player app
Search for "IPTV Smarters Pro" or "GSE Smart IPTV" and select the official listing.
Install the app
Select Get (or the price/Install button) and wait for the download to complete.
Open the app and log in
Launch the app, choose your login method, and enter your M3U playlist URL or Xtream Codes username, password, and server URL.
Confirm channels load
Select a channel to confirm playback and check that your EPG populates if the app supports it.
Troubleshooting
The player app doesn't appear in tvOS App Store search
Confirm you're searching directly on the Apple TV, not looking for an iPhone-only app — some player apps have separate tvOS and iOS listings, and not every iOS IPTV app has a tvOS counterpart.
Typing your Xtream Codes URL is tedious with the Siri Remote
Use the Apple TV Remote app on your iPhone (in Control Center or the App Store) as a full keyboard — it's much faster for entering long server URLs than the on-screen remote input.
